We have a
maximum capacity for 50 guests in both mud-brick and
stone houses, as well as, on the banks of the Kargı
River, several wooden cottages – all buildings have
been ecologically designed and constructed.
Stone
houses:
Built in a traditional style using natural
materials, ground floor has one bedroom, upper
floors have two and they can be used as two separate
apartments. Each floor has a bathroom, a kitchen
and a wide terrace. The ground floors have been
adapted to make them suitable for guests with
disabilities.
Mud-brick
houses:
Built from hand-made mud-brick, tile and wood these
single-storey houses have two bedrooms, bathroom,
kitchen, living room and a wide verandah. In the
summer both the stone and mud-brick houses remain
cool, in the winter they are heated with
wood-burning cooking stoves.
Wooden
houses:
These have been built close to the Kargı River,
where it forms one of Pastoral Valley’s boundaries,
and are in the midst of shade-giving trees. There
are one- and two-bedroomed wooden houses with each
house also having a bathroom and a small kitchen in
one corner of the verandah.
All
organic waste from the houses, together with grey
and black water, is recycled. There is no
smoking allowed in any of the Pastoral Valley
houses… |
